Strike silences Cairo Opera House

Staff at Egypt's Cairo Opera House have gone on strike after their boss was dismissed. They have accused President Mohamed Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood of trying to control cultural institutions and replace leaders with people who support the government. The opera house, which is home to the Egyptian ballet and opera company,along with other members of the artistic community are demanding the Culture Minister Alaa Abdel Aziz resign.
