Fallout 4 prepping E3 announcement, Ubisoft’s upcoming racer leaked, and Tecmo fighter going free-to-play, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. E3 2013 is just a week away and gamers around the world are doing all they can to wait for the E3 that we’ve all been waiting for. With Sony and Microsoft going head-to-head with their new consoles, this year is going to be a bloodbath with both companies giving all they can to prove their console over that of their competitor. A title likely to make its way onto both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Fallout 4 has received more evidence of its nearing announcement thanks to one of Bethesda’s very own forum moderators. Creating a thread asking for community members to contribute their ideas and suggestions for Fallout 4, I feel it’s safe to say Fallout 4 is all but confirmed at this point and with E3 2013 right around the corner, I anticipate seeing Fallout 4 for the first time very soon.

Ubisoft Reflections, the team behind the 2011 release, Driver: San Francisco, has found its way into the media thanks to leaked details regarding their ongoing project, ‘The Crew’. Expected to feature a semi-arcade style of racing similar to that of Driver: San Francisco, ‘The Crew’ will take place in New York City and Los Angeles with an open-world approach. Featuring a Google Maps like mechanic, gamers will have the ability to navigate using GPS functionality whether it’s going through missions or adventuring in the freeride mode. Multiplayer is said to feature eight players in either competitive or cooperative, but no further details have been discovered. Safe to presume ‘The Crew’ will become official during E3, as a racing fan, I must admit I am excited to learn more of what Ubisoft has in store and see if Ubisoft Reflections can outdo what they achieved with Driver: San Francisco.

Wrapping up Nick’s Gaming View, Tecmo has announced that on September 3rd, they will be releasing a free-to-play version of Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, subtitled Core Fighters. Including four playable characters, the full opponent roster, all stages, and the tutorial and training mode, the free-to-play version will not include the story but for those interested, Tecmo will charge $15 and each additional playable character will cost $4. As for online play, both free-to-play and retail versions will be able to compete against each other; however, neither version of Ultimate is compatible for online play with the original Dead or Alive 5 or Dead or Alive 5 Plus on Vita. Currently planned for an exclusive launch on PlayStation 3, Tecmo is said to be in talks with Microsoft for an Xbox 360 version, but only time will tell if Microsoft bites.
