Prehistorik Man is a 2D platformer. You play as Sam, a heroic caveman sent to gather food for his village and to collect dinosaur bones. He only seems to do this to get the elder's daughter, but hey, no one's perfect. Prehistorik Man certainly looks good, with great sprites and colorful graphics, and the game also has some forward-thinking ideas. For example, you don't always have to simply get to the endpoint. The game also throws in objectives that feel more like you're playing a 3D game. The problem with Prehistorik Man is that it misses badly on its platforming physics. And since cavemen didn't even know about physics, that's understandable. This video review features video gameplay footage of Prehistorik Man for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
