We are approaching the 100 year anniversary of the founding of THE UNIA. A International BLACK/AFRICAN NATION with over 3MILLION MEMBERS WORLDWIDE.
He explained to us and demonstrated the POWER OF UNITY, the power of COLECTIVE ECONOMICS, the power of THE BLACK GOD image upon our SELF IMAGE.
The UNIA demonstrated a sense of NATIONALISM that was not short sited, but rather is encompassing of THE WHOLE BLACK WORLD. As a result of this we saw after THE UNIA was dismantled WE saw THE PRINCIPLE"S still MARCHING ON....

-THE BLACK PANTHER PARTY
-THE CONVENTION PEOPLE'S PARTY
-HO CHI MEN
were inspired by GARVEY and THE UNIA.
Garvey was the first person to advocate the 8 hour work day. Also THE WORKERS BILL OF RIGHTS that Roosevelt gave to EUROPE?.......was also adapted from HOOVER'S extensive research done on MARCUS GARVEY.
It is time WE used his ideals for the purpose they were intended for.
