British oil worker Malcom Primose is found safe and well Thursday, two days after being abducted by gunman in Indonesia.

The 62-year-old said he had not suffered any negative health effects during the ordeal, but did say he could use a bath - called a mandi in Indonesia.

"No, no they already checked... yeah, blood pressure OK, heart doing OK, all ok. So I just need a Mandi (bath)."

Primose was found walking alone in a palm oil plantation just 50 metres from where he was taken two days ago.

Police said the kidnappers had contacted Primose's family to demand over $300,000 U.S. dollars in ransom.

They suspect the men were part of a defunct separatist movement and had kidnapped the Brit for money.

Police are still searching for the gunmen.
