Two males and a BMW were pulled out of a bay. The two men claimed that they ended up in the bay after trying to avoid a squirrel on the road.

Slamming on the brakes or swerving into another lane… these are just some of the dangerous steps we often take in order to avoid striking an animal in the road.

In an unfortunate incident, a four-door BMW required a tow truck to remove it from the waters of Mission Bay in San Diego. Two younger males were also pulled out of the bay.

According to a Lifeguard Service authority, the vehicle and occupants entered the water at a little before 7:30 in the morning. After the rescue attempts were successful and both men were saved, it was established that alcohol did not play a role in the bizarre crash.

Instead a little rodent was the culprit. The two men claimed that they ended up in the bay after trying to avoid a squirrel which was in the road.

Luckily, the males were uninjured and the newer model sedan was pulled from the water without incident. It remains unclear what happened to the squirrel.
