NSA chief defends US spying programme

The Obama administration appears to be working overtime to prove it is not illegally spying on American citizens. Several intelligence officials have testified before a special committee, trying to justify their monitoring procedures. They say their surveillance methods have helped prevent more than 50 potential attacks on the United States. Al Jazeera's Cath Turner reports from Washington.
