Beirut car bombing wounds at least 18

Flames engulf vehicles in southern Beirut after a car bomb exploded wounding at least 18 people.

The neighbourhood is a Hezbollah stronghold, home to several of the militant Shi'ite group's political offices.

Tensions in Lebanon have been high since Hezbollah joined forces with the Syrian government to fight Sunni rebel insurgents.

The bomb was detonated in a car park near a shopping mall that was likely busy a day before the holy month of Ramadan begins.

It was not immediately clear who was behind the attack - the second to hit this district this year.
