Stray bullets from Syria kill two in Turkish border town

The relentless sound of gun fire as the war in Syria goes street by streets in a town near the Turkish border.

Kurdish fighters are battling with Islamist rebels. Bullets from the fight spilled over in into Turkey -- killing a man and a 15 year old boy.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a group opposed to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, says Kurdish armed men had taken control of most of the town -- battling with Islamist rebel fighters from an al Qaeda-linked group.

The clashes between Kurdish fighters, who generally support the creation of an autonomous region within Syria, and Islamist Arabs started Tuesday after a Kurdish patrol was attacked and a gunman taken hostage.

The video, which can not be independently verified by Reuters, comes as Turkey with its own large Kurdish minority -- is watching closely -- worried that the emergence of an autonomous Kurdish region in Syria could further embolden Kurdish militants fighting for autonomy within Turkey
