The game combines the vertical shooting of classic arcade games with the cerebral approach of an action puzzler. The galaxy is being invaded, and it’s up to the vector-based superhero V-99 to save the day. Unfortunately, he only has 99 bullets. Even worse, those bullets also serve as his lives. Taking even a single shot is a real decision, because you’re basically shooting your lives into the air. 99Bullets requires a constant balance between offense and survival, a balance made even more tricky since you have to achieve a certain score to progress. 99Bullets takes the classic SHMUPs of old and gives them a genuinely unique new twist.
