The Smurfs 2 arrived in movie theaters along with several game consoles, including the Nintendo DS. The Smurfs 2 is a minigame compilation for young players, featuring nine different games and an audiobook Smurfs story. The book's audio can also be turned off so that kids can read the story themselves. The minigames include activities like coloring and cake decorating, as well as basic games like racing and matching. Players can also unlock 17 different Smurfs figurines, which can be collected and viewed. The Smurfs 2 turns the DS sideways, opening the hinge like a book with the touch screen on the right. The console version was developed by WayForward, but the Nintendo DS version is its own standalone product.
