SimCity 2000 took Will Wright's eternal classic (no, not Raid on Bungeling Bay) into the new millenium - some seven years early - by introducing innovations such as a 45-degree offset viewpoint, time-sensitive technology development, and public works facilities such as shipyard "zones" and water pumps, with the corresponding network of subterranian pipes. Not content to stay on the PC, though, SimCity 2000 started to take its show on the road to any platform it could find... for better or for worse.
