Wedding Costs Nearly Covered by Selling Spiderman Comic

Concerned about the cost of his daughter’s wedding, an Ohio man sold one of his vintage comic books for almost 8 thousand dollars.

Can Spiderman rescue those in need in real life?

A Cleveland Heights, Ohio woman is getting the wedding reception of her dreams, and she has Spiderman to thank.

Concerned about the cost of the event, her father dug through some old boxes and found a vintage comic book that ended up being worth thousands –almost 8 thousand, to be specific.

He bought it in March 1963, when The Amazing Spiderman number 1 first hit the stands and paid 12 cents for it.

Its cover features the teenage superhero soliciting the Fantastic 4 for a job.

Upon locating the box and finding the issue, the owner put it up for auction with a specialty dealer and was amazed to learn that after fees he’d walk away with 7 grand.

Had it been in better condition he could have gotten up to 4 times that. His was rated at a 6.5 out of 10.

Regardless, he was quite excited to give his daughter a note with a picture of Spiderman on it and word that a big chunk of the catering bill was covered.
