Three dead in Taliban attack on US consulate in Afghanistan

Three people have died and more than a dozen injured after a Taliban attack on the US consulate in Herat in western Afghanistan.
Militants exploded a powerful truck bomb outside the front gates on Friday morning, then began firing at security guards.
A police officer, a translator and a security guard are understood to have been killed as well as five of the attackers.
