Le grand hapalémur est en danger critique d'extinction. L'Association Helpsimus soutient plusieurs projets de conservation pour cette espèce à Madagascar dont le projet "bamboo lemur" qui protège la plus importante population sauvage de ce lémurien.
The greater bamboo lemur is critically endangered. The Association Helpsimus supports several projects for the conservation of this species in Madagascar, among them the project "bamboo lemur" which protects the largest wild population of this lemur.
