Pakistanis protest after church attack kills at least 78

Pakistanis take to the streets in protest, enraged over the bloodshed at a 130-year old church where a pair of suicide bombers detonated themselves.

(SOUNDBITE) (Urdu) HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVIST, MOHAMMAD SHAFIQ QADRI, SAYING:

"We condemn the barbaric manner in which these suicide bombers carried out the attack on Christians in Peshawar today. The white color in Pakistan's flag represents the minorities. We demand from the government of Pakistan to protect all the minorities and save the people living in Pakistan from terrorism."

The suicide bombers blew themselves up after Mass Sunday, killing at least 78 people including children, according to the country's Interior Minister.

(SOUNDBITE) (Urdu) PAKISTAN'S INTERIOR MINISTER, CHAUDHRY NISAR ALI KHAN, SAYING:

"Which religion and which law gives permission to do such an act? Then they call it right? Seven children died, 37 are wounded out of which 11 are in critical condition."
