Persuasive technologies are interactive technologies designed to change peoples’ behaviors and attitudes – not through coercion or deception, but through persuasion, social influence and emotionality. We are surrounded by digital products designed to change what we think and do – websites, mobile phones and apps, even video games and special electronic devices, like tracking tools.
