Fans Receive Response From Paul McCartney 50 Years Later

Barbara Bezant and Lyn Phillips were recently left in shock after they received a reply from the lead Beatles man, Sir Paul McCartney - 50 years later.

Fan mail unfortunately doesn’t always garner a response. And after 50 years, even diehard fanatics wouldn't expect to hear back from a celebrity.

But that's exactly what happened to Barbara Bezant and Lyn Phillips who were recently left in shock after they received a reply from the former Beatles man, Sir Paul McCartney. The two women recorded a message to McCartney way back in 1963 and sent the tape to London where the Beatles were playing.

The women were only teenagers when they sent the recording, but just recently it turned up at a British flea market. After the story was made public, the two women, who hadn’t seen each other in quite some time, reunited to listen to their half-century old tape.

As part of the reunion, they also received a written reply from the singer which noted “Hi Linda and Barbara, thanks very much for your lovely tape. It finally got through, better late than never. Great to hear that you found each other after all these years. Keep enjoying the music, love Paul.”
