I recorded this piece with the magnificent Producer, Andreas Neubronner in Neumarkt, Germany. I hope you enjoy...

In 1905,when Suite Bergamasque was first published, Debussy was in the middle of a very turbulent period in his personal life. He had abandoned his wife of several years and run away with a married woman to England. Even in bohemian circles this was considered scandalous.

Although the composing of Clair de Lune had already been started fifteen years prior to these events, Debussy most likely revised the piece heavily in 1905, polishing Clair de Lune to the utmost beauty that we know it to be today. Inspiration is thought to have come from Paul Verlaine's poem of the same name.
