One man, Wong Tze Chow, 33, was riding a motorcycle in Ayer Itam at around 7 p.m. on Thursday when he was struck by an uprooted tree, killing him at the scene.

Another man, Jahir Hussain Sulaiman was riding in a lorry as it passed the Umno Building on Jalan Maclister around 9:20 p.m., when falling concrete debris hit the vehicle, severely injuring him. The driver escaped unharmed.

Sulaiman later died at hospital.

At least five other people were hospitalized from injuries caused by the storm.
