Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag for the Nintendo Wii U developed and published by Ubisoft.

Sail the high seas and assassinate fools like a deranged gymnast in Assassin's Creed IV! Like its predecessor, Black Flag takes that famously stealthy Assassin’s Creed gameplay back in time. You play as a deadly pirate, scouring the Caribbean for rum, wenches and a good time. Not to mention some targets to assassinate. The fun of Assassin’s Creed IV is in its massive and gorgeous locations, where players are free to raise hell just like a pirate. You can pursue your primary objectives, or you can take on any number of side quests. There’s a laundry list of things to collect and people to kill, and scattered across the game’s more than 50 locations, half the fun is just setting sail and enjoying the ride. The Wii U version is a well-done port that includes the entire core Assassin’s Creed IV experience, but it does not feature any inventive GamePad use and will not be receiving downloadable content. Despite those tradeoffs, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is still a fantastic addition to the Wii U’s library.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag for the Nintendo Wii U and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
