Forest fires rage in Chile

This is one of nearly 50 forest fires raging across Chile.
Most of the fires are burning in the central and southern parts of the country.
Thousands of residents have fled their homes.
Others hosed their properties down in the hope of saving them from the flames.
Chile's agriculture minister said the number of fires in 2013 was up more than a sixth on the previous year.
He's putting it down in part at least to a drought that's been going on for four years.
