Gaddafi loyalists clash with Libyan army

STORY: Clashes broke out on Tuesday (January 21) after soldiers backed by militia fighters loosely aligned with the government stormed the Warshafena area on the western outskirts of Tripoli to capture gunmen they accused of belonging to pro-Gaddafi forces.

At least two people were killed when troops and militiamen fired anti-aircraft guns and rockets into the area where they had said tribal fighters resisted with small rockets, a Reuters witness and hospital officials said.

"Thirteen wounded and two death cases and they were given first aid and moved and, thank God, and other cases were given first aid, and there is a family targeted by a Grad missile, they were given first aid and moved to al Khadra hospital," said Dr. Abdul Rahem al Jerbi at the hospital in Janzor which was receiving the wounded.
