Frozen Waterfalls in Tennessee

An unusually cold spell of weather in Tennessee created this amazing display of ice and snow. Falling water froze as it fell from Rock House Creek Falls creating a cone of snow at its base. The wall behind Cane Creek Falls had curved icicles covered in hoar frost with large pillows of ice coating everything. January 2014 has seen the East Coast of the United States experience some of its coldest weather on record. Credit: Alfred Crabtree
