2014 Taipei Game Show is its biggest ever with nearly 1,000 booths

The 2014 Taipei Game Show (台北國際電玩展), Taiwan's biggest game exhibition, kicks off this week at the Taipei World Trade Center. With almost a thousand booths, the five-day exhibition is the biggest ever since its inception in 2002.

Several publishers and developers of popular online games such as Tower of Saviors (神魔之塔), World of Tanks (戰車世界) and League of Legends (英雄聯盟) is attending the show for the first time.

Experts and pro gamers say mobile gaming is taking market share from traditional PC gaming, although PC games are still attractive to gamers because of their vastly superior audio and visual effects.
