“Paper” Will Change How You Use Facebook

Welcome to 60 Sec Tech - one minute of what you need to know in the tech world.“Paper,” a new Facebook mobile application, was released today in the United States. The app takes a new approach to the world’s most popular social network, ditching the endless vertical scrolling wall that we’ve grown accustomed to. Instead, “Paper” uses a more picture-focused horizontal display, encouraging users to relax and spend more time on what they’re being shown. The design takes visual cues from both Medium and Flipbook; every update is shown in full-screen picture form, ridding the screen of a sea of icons.So far, however, the United States is the only one to get the application, and it’s only available on iOS.
