Deadlock in Parliament as protesters beat drums for change in Ukraine

No one is going quietly in Ukraine.

Anti government demonstrators hold a sign saying: "We are tired of waiting."

They beat the drums of change,

Inside parliament, a deadlock as parties try to draft a joint bill on constitutional amendments that could be put to a vote as early as next week.

Opposition leader Vitaly Klitschko is asking where is the leadership.

(SOUNDBITE) (Ukrainian) UKRAINIAN OPPOSITION LEADER VITALY KLITSCHKO, SAYING:

"Today Yanukovich is flying out to the Sochi Olympics - at this very moment when it is necessary to solve the situation in the society, to reduce tension in the society, to make decisions. I would like to stress it one more time, nobody makes decisions in the Party of Regions, any decisions are made exclusively by the Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich."

His ally from the Party of the Regions Olexander Yefremov says Yanukovich is monitoring the situation.
