Mentally impaired man kills 87-year-old neighbor over calendar dispute

A man with mental disabilities killed his 87-year-old neighbor with his bare hands over a calendar ripping dispute in Taoyuan, Taiwan.

Du, the suspect, often barges into his neighbor's house to rip off the neighbor's calendar.

Du's neighbors, the Qi family, have been pestered by this behavior for a long time. Du went into the Qi residence again at 6:00pm on Monday to rip off their calendar. The 87-year-old homeowner tried to stop him, but the enraged Du attacked the old man with a paper stick. Du pushed the old man, causing Qi to fall on the ground. Du repeatedly hit the old man on the head, causing him a brain hemorrhage.
