Bus Driver Chases After Runaway Bus in China

A bus in China had been stopped on the side of the street but all of a sudden it switched gears and took off.
There are certain things you would never want to encounter. Take an out-of-control giant bus barreling down the road as a prime example.
Chinese motorists and residents got to witness just that. The entire scene was captured by surveillance footage.
The bus had been stopped on the side of the street but all of a sudden, it appeared to briefly slip backwards and then abruptly took off down the road.
Another bus driver saw what happened and jumped out of his own vehicle to chase the runaway bus on foot. The seemingly crazy bus cruised down a busy intersection.
It didn’t take long for it to strike a guardrail and hit about 10 cars. The pursuing driver managed to reach the moving bus but he wasn’t able to hit the emergency stop switch.
A motorist on the road stopped to help. Together they were able to get the bus to finally stop. Thankfully no one was injured.
The operator of the runaway bus reportedly suffered a stroke while behind the wheel. Just prior to losing control, the man felt sick and asked his passengers to get off so he could drive back to the depot, but on the return route his condition got far worse.
He is currently recovering in the hospital.
