Taiwanese street beauty contest

Five years ago, two Taiwanese guys came up with the idea of taking photos with random cute girls on streets. The story caught the attention of a Japanese film producer and they decided to turn the project into a movie.

The producers then held a street beauty contest on the Internet. They nominated around a hundred street beauties from Taiwan and the top ten prettiest girls were selected by an online poll.

The result saw Candice beat all the other competitors with her nice long legs taking first place and a US$1,700 prize. Mo-kuay (莫葵), with her energetic performance made second place while Queenie took third place. They both received US$1,000 and all three beauties will have an opportunity to appear in the movie.

The organizers said they spent a month picking the girls and voting took place between February 22 until March 9.
