Monsters, Inc. Scream Arena review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Monsters, Inc. Scream Arena for the Nintendo GameCube developed by Radical Entertainment and published by THQ.
Pixar’s hit 2001 film comes to the GameCube in this kid-friendly combination of minigames and dodgeball. Scream Arena features 13 characters from the film, as well as seven different “scream arenas.” Within each arena, the game gives you several objectives and minigames that repeat in each arena, and they all involve dodgeball. The game’s mechanics are simple enough for the youngest players to grasp. Simply pick up balls and throw them at your opponents. It’s a lot like gym class, only with monsters! As we learned with the NES game Super Dodge Ball, no dodgeball game is complete without multiplayer, so Scream Arena also offers local multiplayer modes for even more monstrous fun. Monsters, Inc. Scream Arena is a GameCube exclusive.
