Mega Man 5 review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Mega Man 5 for the Nintendo Entertainment System developed and published by Capcom.

Is it really possible to have too much of a good thing? Some say yes. Mega Man says otherwise. Released to the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, Mega Man 5 came to retail a year after the next console generation had already begun. Mega Man doesn’t care, though, as Mega Man 5 was still one of the best games released that year. Playing once again as Dr. Light’s iconic blue bomber, you again have eight new robot masters to take down. The difference this time is in the plot. Dr. Light has been kidnapped by someone who’s leading an army of robots to destroy the world, and that person is…Proto Man?! Can it really be? Mega Man 5 presents the same tight platforming and flawless controls that made its series famous, making a strong argument that there is no such thing as too much of a good thing. Not when that good thing is Mega Man.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Mega Man 5 for the Nintendo Entertainment System and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
