Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes for the Xbox 360 developed by Kojima Productions and published by Konami.

Acting as a prologue to Konami’s upcoming Metal Gear Solid V, Ground Zeroes is basically a sampler platter of stealth. Playing as the iconic Snake, players are dropped into Camp Omega, a military prison with two notable captives. Captives that Snake has to rescue. The entire game is based on that single mission—infiltrate the base and extract the two targets. The interesting part is that you’re free to pursue those objectives however you’d like. There’s a sense of freedom to Ground Zeroes that creates a very interesting vibe. Players must not only find their way into the base, but they must also figure out where their targets are located. It’s like a little sandbox of top-shelf stealth gameplay, and if it’s any indication of what’s to come, The Phantom Pain is a game to look out for. Ground Zeroes lasts anywhere from two hours to 15 minutes, however, so its extremely short length is certainly something to consider. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is a single-player stealth game/demo/sampler…thing.
