Following up their 2012 blockbuster The Walking Dead, Telltale is back with The Wolf Among Us, yet another point-and-click masterwork. This time, players are taken into the vile streets of Fabletown, a rundown area of the city where the fables live. And who are the fables? You know them. They’re Snow White, and Mr. Toad, and Beauty and the Beast, and all the fairy tale characters you grew up with. They’ve had to leave their home world and come to the real world. You play as Bigby Wolf—you may know him as the Big Bad Wolf, but he’s trying to put his past behind him. Episode 3 is perhaps the most intense and moving yet, as the characters really start to become fleshed out. Every character in this beautiful and haunting world is interesting, a feat few games ever accomplish. But depending on your decisions, some might not make it to Episode 4. The Wolf Among Us, Episode 3: A Crooked Mile is a stylish and violent adventure that proves life in the real world is no fairy tale.
