Is it time to declare peace in the war on drugs? After decades of prohibition and active fighting against drugs, more and more people in the Americas are raising their voices in favour of decriminalisation. The drug market in the United States generates an estimate of up to 63 billion dollars a year, money that goes straight into the pockets of the mafia. Our correspondents look at this endless war and those calling for a change in tactic.
