a short story taking place in post war America. A young man finds himself searching his ideal freedom. Starting with a back room poker game he’s set up to be rolled by a barroom floozy and conned in a shell game. Disillusioned, our hero decides enough is enough and he leaves town via train. On this trip various aspects or scenes of American life unfold before him.
