Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb sworn in as head of government

Egypt’s new government has been sworn in, headed up by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb.
He was reappointed by former army chief-turned president, General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, who won an election victory last month.
It comes just under a year since Sisi, as head of the army, overthrew the former president Mohammed Morsi.
The new cabinet includes 34 ministers, 14 are new appointments and just four are women.
A new investment post has been created with the aim of bringing in much needed funds to the country.
The political turmoil of the last three years has severely damaged tourism and investment and led to high unemployment and a widening budget deficit.
