Dunya News - 'Suspect' arrested at Lahore airport turns out to be victim of brother's vendetta

The suspicious man taken into custody this morning was later released as authorities established he was innocent and was actually framed as terrorist by his own brother over personal vendetta, Dunya News reported.
The investigations revealed that the suspect was framed by his own brother over domestic issues and personal vendetta.
Reportedly, man identified as Shahnawaz alerted the security authorities saying a terrorist is aboard the flight from Muscat to Lahore.
The security authorities in Muscat then alerted the flight crew and authorities at Lahore airport who apprehended the man identified as Dildar Shah upon arrival.
No weapon was found from his custody. Air Security Force (ASF) officials released the man following thorough investigation.
Earlier, the ground staff at Lahore airport issued high alert and summoned the anti-terrorist squad who escorted the aircraft to the Hajj terminal upon landing. The suspect was arrested from the aircraft following a commando action and was transferred to an undisclosed location for investigation.

The aircraft was cleared after it was established that no other passenger was suspicious and that the suspect wasn’t carrying any weapons.
