The government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are on the confrontation course again. Following the federal government’s decision to celebrate Independence Day on national level in Islamabad, PTI has announced that a tragedy like Model Town tragedy will take place again if the government hindered the long march efforts.
PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that his party announced the ‘Azaadi March’ first, adding that the government should hold the Independence Day celebrations somewhere else. The government announced that Independence Day celebrations will span two weeks this year.
