Simraceway Donington Park McLaren MP4/4

Simraceway recently offered the opportunity to try its version of a car that built an outstanding record over the course of the 1988 Formula One World Championship season - McLaren's MP4/4.
1988 was the year that Ayrton Senna moved from Lotus to join multiple champion Alain Prost at McLaren. Perhaps to some degree spurred on by an intensifying rivalry, the pair would drive the car into its own league throughout the sixteen races held that year.
Senna would win the championship, his first of three. The inter-team competition would continue its intensity in the next season with Alain becoming 1989 World Champion before his move to Ferrari for the 1990 season.
Ayrton's No. 12 MP4/4 was the car chosen for this run.
