Flowers for foreign nationals as they arrive in Greece after being evacuated from Libya.

The evacuees include more than 100 Chinese, British, Belgian, and Greek citizens

For one British national, the warm welcome didn't distract him from what was happening on the ground in Libya.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) BRITISH NATIONAL, OSAMA MANSOUR, SAYING:

"I feel very sad that there is this revolution after all the people who died and they paid in blood and everything, and now they start the sign of civil war, and it's very sad, and I wish, everyone hopes that things (go) back to normal."

Athens sent the frigate to evacuate its embassy workers in Tripoli after the capital airport became a battlefield.

A Chinese national, on his way to catch a flight to China, recalls the sound of war.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) CHINESE NATIONAL, ZHANG ZHIBIAO, SAYING:

"Maybe one day or two days we were bombed. Where we lived in Libya we can listen (to) the bombs everywhere
