To celebrate the bicentenary year of Giuseppe Verdi’s birth, the Korea National Opera presents Don Carlo. Directed by the renowned Australian director, Elijah Moshinsky, the revival has a stellar cast including bass Philip Kang (the first Asian to join the prestigious Berlin Opera) and tenor Na Seung-seo. In all, some 200 people are on stage telling the saga of love, betrayal, and conflicts between Don Carlo and his dad, King Philip II of Spain.

DESIGN
Designer Park Zin-oo and M Lighting
Lighting designers are shedding new light on modern decor. Designer Park Zin-oo adds fun and functionality to lighting through somewhat eccentric use of light sources, wires, reflections, and shadows. Spaghetti Chandelier is a prime example of Park’s wit. Designers at M Lighting offer classic designs that not only energize, but evoke emotions from the viewer.
