Australia’s immigration minister has suggested that a seven-month-old child reportedly abandoned to its surrogate mother in Thailand after being born with Down syndrome may be “eligible for Australian citizenship”.
The child’s healthy sister was adopted by an Australian couple.
They claim they had no knowledge of baby Gammy.
