Dunya News - Students ignore hurdles; reach school to quench thirst of education

These scenes are not from a school destroyed by the Taliban, they are from a government school of Pakistan’s most advanced city, Karachi. This school is located in Shah Faisal Green Town. Students are facing grave problems here in the absence of roof and floor but are still sitting on the debris in order to quench their thirst of education.
These students studying here in the scorching heat are upset only for the fact that the Department of Education left them alone in this hour of need. Directorate Schools had promised them camps but it has not yet fulfilled the promise.
On the other hand, the woman who claims to own the plot has made repeated visits to the school. Whether it is a case of illegal occupation or of ownership disagreement, the losers are only these poor students.
