U.S. hits Islamic State fighters at Mosul Dam

The Pentagon releases videos it says shows airstrikes by the U.S. military against Islamic State fighters near Mosul Dam.

In recent weeks, Islamic State militants seized large parts of northern Iraq, including the dam.

The airstrikes, the U.S. says, are intended to protect U.S. personnel and facilities.

Meanwhile, some 300 Yazidis are trying to get out of the country.

They're trying to flee for Turkey.

But were stopped in by Kurdish security forces who blocked their access to the border.

Protesters say they want out more than anything else.
