The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has once again made a passionate appeal to the chiefs of Pakistan Awami Tehreek Dr Tahirul Qadri and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Imran Khan to make a last-ditch effort for resolving political issues by holding dialogues. He urged them not to close the door of dialogues at any cost.
Addressing Dr Qadri he said, “You are not only a wise, patient and sagacious person but also a leading religious scholar. The deadline that you have given to the government is about to end in the evening today. Before you take any action, I would appeal to you to review your decision in view of the critical situation of the country.”
“It is well in your knowledge that our armed forced are heavily engaged with in difficult war in North Waziristan. In these circumstances, it is necessary to make a last-ditch effort to start negotiations before announcing a final line of action or entering the red zone in Islamabad. It is necessary rescuing the country from a deep crisis.”
Mr Hussain asked Dr Qadri that the problems and defects in the democratic system were mainly because of the people who were running the system. He appealed that the elements that were abusing democracy should be brought on the right path by dialogues in order to save the country from heading towards collision, bloodshed and confusion.
“At the end of the day everyone has to opt for the path of dialogues. It is only a matter time whether dialogues are held before sacrificing hundreds of thousands of people or after that.”
Mr Hussain prayed Almighty Allah to shower His Blessings on Pakistan.
