US accuses Egypt and UAE of bombing Tripoli airport

US intelligence claims Egypt and the United Arab Emirates were responsible for carrying out air strikes against Islamist factions controlling Libya’s Tripoli airport.

Egypt has denied involvement while there’s been no comment from the UAE.

It comes just hours after foreign ministers meeting in Cairo agreed not to intervene in Libya, calling for an international dialogue to resolve the chaos.

Libya’s neighbours are concerned the oil producer will become a failed state following weeks of clashes between rival militias.
