Arch Rivals review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Arch Rivals for the Nintendo Entertainment System developed by Midway and published by Acclaim.
Before NBA Jam, there was Arch Rivals. Join Mohawk, Blade, Reggie, Tyrone and all their friends as they shoot hoops and punch each other in the face. Choose a team, choose a player and prepare for all-out war on the parquet floor! Arch Rivals is a 2-on-2 basketball game very similar to NBA Jam, only with an emphasis on violence. You can punch other players and even dive at them to play “defense.” Or something like it. Although the NES version features less content and stripped-down graphics, it’s still a great multiplayer game for Nintendo’s original home console. Arch Rivals offers single-play and local multiplayer play on the NES.
