Cash-Hungry Termites Eat One Thousand Dollars

A woman in China lost a chunk of her savings after the cupboard she was storing it in was infested with termites. Cai Hou never trusted banks, so she would keep her money in a cupboard in her home in Jinjiang. So imagine her surprise when she opened the cupboard to check on her savings (10,000 Yuan, or a little over $1,600) and noticed a lot of it was gone, and the rest of it was full of holes. The culprit? Termites!
