Project CARS Lakeville Raceway Lancer Evo X

Back to a tin-top?

Yep, and back to Project CARS with Build 797.

We leave Snetterton behind and fly to the West Coast of North America to look at Lakeville Raceway. This is the slightly shorter layout of two available and we're in Mitsubishi's Lancer Evolution X FQ-400.

As with our recent Simraceway comparison between a Formula 3 car and that title's Evo X, Slightly Mad Studios' Evo similarly made for an ideal contrast with the preceding Formula Rookie car. The rises, turns and kerbs of Lakeville are enough to emphasise different car behaviour, from how the suspension reacts to the breadth of the useful power band of a car. Watch and listen out for the turbo waking up!

This Evo X video begins as the weather approaches its clearest state to make a deep blue sky. Somewhere near the middle of the video, hazy conditions start to return and the refined output of Project CARS' rendering engine slowly moves to darker conditions and warmer colours. Some of a third lap is included to offer a better look at the changing environment.
